Haha! Once I was walking across a college campus and I thought I saw a guy that lived in my building. But when I spoke to him and he turned his head I realized it wasn't the person I knew. Rather than admit I'd mistaken him for someone else, I pretended I knew him and had a full on conversation with the guy about his life and his progress in school. Dude was so confused, but didn't want to admit he didn't "remember" me so he played along. It was awesome.

Ironically, on Easter Sunday I took my mother to a local theater production of the old British sketck play Beyond The Fringe. The first skit had two men meet on the street and initially think they knew each other, then determine that they never met. Despite this, they talk to one another like they were old friends who had known each other, before they part. (You'd have to see the sketch to understand it fully.)
