It was fun to reintroduce Deke into the comic strip this past little while. I’m hoping to use him more in the future. He is, after all family.

I don’t like to get too political. But I’m feeling very much removed from the political process right now. We’ve become far too divisive. Far too extreme. We’ve stopped talking about ideas and instead focused on attacks, celebrity,  and sensationalism. It feels like people are so closed off they won’t listen to ideas anymore. People are too focused on their “team” winning.

This isn’t a game though. This is the future of our country. And last I checked, we were all on the same team.

Deke is a character I’ve been meaning to introduce back into the comic strip again for some time. He did appear in some of the really early comic strips from way back when the site first went online. Some of those comic strips were taken down when I redeveloped the history of the characters. But many of them still remain. Either way ,it’s fun to get Deke back into the comic strip.

A few weeks ago a random fiance of a friend of my roommate asked to sleep on the couch in my apartment. I’d never met the guy. He was gone before I woke up in the morning. He vanished as mysteriously as he arrived. Such intrigue.
