My apologies for not having a comic strip last week. I was in NY, being awesome.
I love how Michael in this comic strip is using a grappling hook. I have always wanted to use a grappling hook. They are like the epitome of awesomeness. All the coolest people use ropes and grappling hooks. Just think about it. Spies. Ninjas. Batman. Indiana Jones. Ok, Indy uses a whip, but it’s basically the same principle. And that principle is grappling hooks = awesome.
When I was a kid I tried to make my own grappling hook. I took a long 50ft. piece of rope, then tied it to a set of handlebars from my old tricycle. Instant grappling hook, and hours of playtime fun. I used it to climb my tree, although the rope had a little too much elasticity so it proved to be less effective. But you know what? It was still cool. And I looked awesome twirling that handlebar grappling hook by my side.
Spies need to plan ahead.
Wow I haven’t ever used a grappling hook since I was a kid. I had one that came with the utility belt of my Batman suit. Plus a baterang which was awesome too.
